Frequently asked questions?
What does a rental day entail?
- 1 day is from 9:00 AM (Sunday 10:00 AM) until a maximum of 8:00 PM.
- 2 days means return on the 2nd day at 8:00 PM.
- 1 week means return on the 7th day at 8:00 PM.
Can I also make a reservation by phone?
- No, reservations can only be made online via our reservation system or in our store. You are therefore required to pay in advance. As soon as the payment is completed (this can sometimes take a while), the reservation will be confirmed.
Can I make a reservation in the store?
- Yes, that is possible. You will need to pay in advance.
Can I make a reservation online for today?
- Yes, that is possible during the summer season.
- This is not possible during the winter season; it can only be done at least one day in advance.
How far in advance do I need to make a reservation?
- You can reserve up to 1 day in advance during the winter. In the summer, this is also possible on the day itself, but here too, it is first come, first served. The reservation system indicates when bikes are sold out. There are often still a few left, but these cannot be reserved.
Is the dog allowed in the electric cargo bike?
- Yes, the dog is also allowed in the electric cargo bike; just make sure the dog doesn't jump out, or rent a dog cover for it!
- Or perhaps a dog trailer?
How do we bring the baby/children?
- Babies up to approximately 1 year old can sit in a carrier in the trailer.
- Children from approximately 1 to 4 years old can sit in a trailer, cargo bike, or child seat.
- Children from approximately 4 to 8 years old can sit in the cargo bike or on an older-child tandem.
- We also have individual bikes for all ages.
Is a trailer allowed on an e-bike?
- Yes, we also attach the trailers to our e-bikes (do watch your speed). We do not attach them to the tandems or electric cargo bikes.
Is it allowed to attach a trailer to your own bicycle?
- Yes, that often works, but not always (for example, not with an e-bike with a rear-wheel motor, and the more expensive the bike, the more difficult it is).
Do you also deliver the bikes?
- Yes, we recently started delivering to your location as well, but from our shop we can provide you with a much more suitable bike and all the necessary service.
- If you enter your holiday address outside Callantsoog (up to a maximum of 15km) when reserving, the delivery option will appear. If this is not the case, please contact us so we can add this address.
- We charge €30 for delivery and collection of up to 10 bikes. There are colleagues who offer free delivery, but their rental prices are often higher.
- We do not deliver on Sundays.
