We believe it is important that you know where you stand.
Read the steps carefully.
- You activate the bike by turning on the switch at the rear bottom of the battery. The taillight will now turn on and remain on continuously while riding.
- Now press the middle button on the mini display for 1 second; the display will turn on.
- 4 blocks on the left indicate that the battery is full; this will decrease in blocks during the ride. The first block can take quite a while.
- 1 block on the right indicates that the assistance is in level 1. This is the setting for starting off and also for long tours. (80 km is easily achievable in this setting).
- With the plus and minus arrows, you can adjust the assistance to your liking up to 4 blocks. (Be careful, it will go very fast quickly and consumption will therefore increase significantly; only start off in level 1).
- Headlight. Briefly hold down the up arrow button (be careful not to increase the assistance unnoticed).
- Reset trip counter. Briefly press the middle button on the display; the total distance switches to daily distance. Now hold down the middle and bottom buttons until the trip counter reaches 0000.
Locking the bicycle correctly is important!
- When the bicycle is not in use, it must always be double locked with the lock and chain.
Loading proceeds as follows.
- When renting for multiple days, you will receive a charger. After the ride, let the battery rest for a while (15 min). Plug the charger into the battery using the 3-pin plug on the right rear side. Then plug the charger into the wall socket. The light on the charger will now turn red. When the light turns green, the battery is fully charged.
- To remove the battery, the bicycle must be locked. Using the second key inside the battery to the left, it can be unlocked. You can then slide the battery out (this may be a bit stiff). You can now charge the battery indoors. After charging, slide the battery back into the cradle carefully and gently, and lock it again.
In case of a malfunction, first try:
- If the taillight is on but the display does not turn on, check if the battery is properly connected in the cradle.
- Multiple malfunctions may be caused by a loose plug under the seat connecting to the battery cradle. Check if these four plugs are securely attached.
- For any other malfunctions, please contact the rental company.
