RENTAL CONDITIONS

RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS - HARRY'S TWEEWIELERS BIKE RENTAL


PICK-UP OF RENTAL EQUIPMENT
1.1 The renter is assumed to have received the rented materials in good condition. The rental company is assumed to have delivered the rented materials in good condition.
1.2 Payment must be made upon collection of the rental items. For reservations, payment is made in advance.
1.3 Identification is required when collecting the rented items.
1.4 Early return of the rented materials does not entitle the renter to a refund.


USE OF RENTAL EQUIPMENT
2.1 The rented materials must always be locked using all provided locks.
2.2 The rented materials may not carry more persons than the number of available seats.
2.3 The rented materials are not allowed on the beach, except for handcarts.
2.4 Bicycles must be used normally and appropriately.
2.5 The rental company has the right to reclaim the rented equipment at any time in case of suspected misuse.


COSTS, DAMAGE, LOSS AND THEFT
3.1 The renter is fully responsible for any damage to or loss of the rented equipment or parts thereof. Costs will be determined by the rental company according to standard rates.
3.2 The renter is liable for any damage incurred during the rental period. All damage must be reported, and repair costs must be paid upon return of the rental materials.
3.3 The rental company cannot be held liable for any damage caused by or with the rented materials.
3.4 In the event of theft, the renter is required to contact the rental company immediately.
3.5 In case of breakdown on the road, the renter must first contact the rental company.
3.6 Participation in the Rent A Bike Safe Plan covers all previously mentioned costs under point 3. The renter’s deductible in this case is:

  • €25,- for a handcart, trailer, or bicycle.
  • €50,- for an electric bike, tandem, or mountain bike.
  • €100,- for an electric cargo bike.
    The Rent A Bike Safe Plan does not cover:
  • Damage caused to third parties by the rented materials.
  • Damage caused intentionally and/or through reckless behavior.
    3.7 In the event of theft of the rented equipment, a police theft report must be submitted.


CANCELLATION
4.1 For advance reservations, the following cancellation conditions apply:

  • More than 30 days before the rental period: 50% refund.
  • Within 30 days before the rental period: no refund, rescheduling possible (within the booked year).
  • Less than 24 hours before the rental period: no refund, no rescheduling.

4.2 When participating in the Rent A Bike Safe Plan, the following cancellation conditions apply:

  • More than 30 days before the rental period: 90% refund.
  • Between 30 and 9 days before the rental period: 70% refund.
  • Between 8 days and 24 hours before the rental period: 50% refund.
  • Less than 24 hours before the rental period: no refund, free rescheduling (within the booked year).


RETURN OF RENTED EQUIPMENT
5.1 The rented materials must be returned to the rental company no later than the agreed return time.
